He found that the art of contour cutting he developed over the years worked wonders with opal gems. This entails chasing the color no matter which direction it takes. In the case of opal, he chased the fire. The resulting creations are not your ordinary opal seen in most jewelry. This cutting technique imbues each opal gemstone with a unique and stunning three dimensional topography.
